Welcome to Cromer
Cromer's History covers lifeboat gallantry, and fishing. The small seaside town is truly famous for its crab-fishing, and many of the locals make their living in this way.
In Cromer you will find many places to eat, from traditional pubs to something a little bit more exotic.
During the Summer, there is the Pavillion Theatre at the end of the Pier, which is definately worth a visit! Make sure you go and see the Seaside Special; its the only traditional, end-of-the-pier show in the country.
CROMER PIER
Set high in the cliffs overlooking the town is the Royal Cromer Golf Club, offering an 18 hole course with panoramic sea views.
But if golf isn't your thing, but horses are, then take a ride 3 miles out of Cromer to the small quiet village of West Runton and visit the Norfolk Shire Horse Centre and riding stables, where you can see the collection of over 30 heavy horses. Horse riding availabe.
CROMER GOLF COURSE
Cromer's busiest week is in August when the Carnival comes to town. The Carnival attracts people from all over the country (and the World!) and provides people of all ages with a fun packed week. The procession which is usually held mid-week must not be missed!
Whether you are interested in History, or enjoy relaxing on a beach, shopping or exploring, then Cromer has something to offer everyone throughout the year.
